Some pics from our 3-night stay at the “Sandy Toes” beach house at Alligator Point, near Tallahassee.
Here is Emmalie (Allison’s mom) with our doggie Clydie, walking in the distance.
From the back porch of the house…
Sunset from behind the house:
At first we thought we had sharks… they were just dolphins. They were EVERYWHERE.
Allison’s dad, Gary, on a sandbar looking for dolphins. This sandbar was underwater for about half of each day.
It was unfortunately cold while we were there… but we had a lot of fun regardless. We didn’t want to swim anyway!
Clydie LOVED the beach–in central Florida, very few beaches allow dogs. She got in a lot of walks with Grandma. After two weeks spent with her Grandmas, she is getting a bit spoiled.
Even puppy dogs like to relax on a beach towel from time to time, I guess…
The beach house was nice, and had no shortage of deck and porch area (It’s the yellow one!)…
And the inside was really nice and cozy.
And had everything you need…
Of course, the cold helped a lot, but even in the summer the beach would be fairly secluded… it’s just a lot of houses. No big hotels… heck, there isn’t even reliable cell service. The closest good shopping–a Walmart–is about 30 minutes away.
Sorry, we never get good pics of our dog… she’s too dark and spastic. The sand made for good contrast.
